Move over Alex Curran, there's a new WAG in town

Steven Gerrard's wife Alex Curran has some new competition for her leading Liverpool WAG title in the form of Robbie Keane’s wife Claudine Palmer.

The former Tottenham Hotspur striker's better half made her first appearance in Liverpool today following her husband’s transfer to the city.

The couple – who were married in June - spent the day shopping at the local Sainsburys before taking their dog for a walk.

Dressed in cropped jeans, wedges and a white waistcoast, the Irish model smiled happily for photographers as she took in her new home.

Friends say that the 25-year-old Irish model is ‘beyond excited’ to join the likes of fellow Liverpool WAGs Alex Curran and Abigail Clancy.

‘She thinks that it couldn’t have happened at a better time, as they have just got married and this move will be a fresh start for their new life as a married couple.’

Claudine has lived with Robbie in London for the last four years now, she loves the shops there and the buzz of the city and is sad to leave all of her London pals behind but she's definitely ready for the move and can't contain her excitement about their new adventure,’ a source told the Liverpool Herald.

Liverpool signed the Ireland captain from London football club Tottenham Hotspur for a reported £19 million last week.

England footballer Steven Gerrard and his wife Alex Curran have flown into Miami - in what appears to be a snub of teammate Wayne Rooney and fiancé Coleen McLoughlin's wedding.

The couple arrived in the US with four friends yesterday, just one day ahead of Rooney's lavish Italian nuptials.

When reporters asked why they'd miss the much-anticipated £5 million bash, Curran refused to answer and turned away.

Liverpool star Gerrard, 28, wasn't in the mood for talking either, at one point pushing away photographers' lenses.

After arriving at Miami International Airport, the group of three men and three women boarded a black minibus before being whisked away to a luxury South Beach hotel.

The £400-a-night Delano hotel, where Gerrard and Curran have previously stayed, has oceanfront views and is favoured by the rich and famous.

Alex, 25, a model and mother-of-two, and fellow WAG Coleen are known to be friends who are occasionally spotted rubbing shoulders at fashion events.

And they may play in rival Premiership teams, but footballers Rooney and Gerrard have of course played together for their country.

Of course, Wayne and Coleen were present at the couple's high profile wedding last year, flying into the Cliveden estate in Berkshire via helicopter especially for the occasion.

"Everyone would expect Steven and Alex to be there on Wayne and Coleen's big day," said one source.

"Tongues are bound to wag about whether they've fallen out over it."

In December four masked raiders broke into her £3million mansion while her two young daughters slept upstairs.

She was confronted by the intruders after they hammered down a back door.

She said: "It was absolutely terrifying, a horrendous experience."

The robbers escaped with jewellery worth thousands of pounds. It was the sixth raid in 18 months on the home of a Liverpool player.

Between them they've got five children - but they're clearly not giving Jordan or Alex Curran any sleepless nights as the pair found the energy to teamed up for an all-night club crawl.

WAG Alex had come to the capital with husband, Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard, for a romantic weekend, but it seems the romance part was forgotten as she hit the town on a eight-hour bender with new pal Jordan.

The pair started their London club crawl at 9pm on Saturday at celebrity make-up artist Gary Cockerill's birthday bash in Sin.

According to the Mirror, at 12.50am they decided to head to the Embassy and, after two hours there, moved on to Shadow Lounge where probably looking much the worse for wear, they got turned away and instead went to Balans in Soho.

A source told The Mirror: "They had a blast and will definitely hook up again soon."

Whereas Steven Gerrard didn't try to keep up with his wife, opting to stay at the hotel, Jordan's husband Peter Andre started the night with the girls, but obviously couldn't take the pace as he reportedly went home just after midnight.
