Chelsy plans holiday with crocodile hunter who called Harry a 'wet fish'

Chelsy Davy is planning a holiday with a handsome South African who famously referred to Prince Harry as a ‘wet fish’.

She has excitedly told friends that she is planning a trip abroad with Bradley Kirkland – known as ‘Jabu’ – a 22-year-old student and crocodile hunter from Cape Town, who is one of her closest friends.

The news is likely to come as a major blow to Harry, who is said to be ‘gutted’ about their split and has told friends he is desperate to win Chelsy back.

Chelsy, pictured here in Rio De Janeiro, is said to be excited about planning a holiday with Kirkland

The Prince has been in constant text contact with his former girlfriend of five years over the past week and is not aware that Kirkland will join her on a holiday in April.

Yesterday, Harry was putting on a brave face over the split as he chatted and laughed with former rugby player Will Greenwood as the pair watched England’s Six Nations victory over Italy at Twickenham.

Meanwhile, law student Chelsy, 23, who is currently in London, is struggling to cope with the snowy weather in Britain and has spent the past week organising her trip with friends from Zimbabwe. Kirkland will form part of the group.

A friend told The Mail on Sunday: ‘Her party will include Jabu. He’s a shoulder to cry on and they are very close. Chelsy insists they are just good friends and says Jabu has a girlfriend at home. But there’s a definite chemistry between her and Jabu.

‘Chelsy can’t wait to go away, she misses her friends and the sunshine. At the moment, they are deciding between South Africa and Thailand.’

It will be an unpleasant surprise for Harry, 24, who is said to regard Kirkland as a threat and was seething when Kirkland told friends he thought Harry was a ‘wet fish’.

He was also unimpressed when Kirkland joined Chelsy on holiday in South Africa when he went to fight in Afghanistan in December 2007.

Jabu was again with Chelsy last summer at her family’s home in Durban. The Prince, who is training with the Army Air Corps and will fly a helicopter for the first time tomorrow, has yet to meet his estranged girlfriend since their split.

‘They haven’t seen each other but it will only be a matter of time. Harry is taking the split just as badly as Chelsy,’ a mutual friend revealed. ‘He is having to focus on his studies, knowing that Chelsy is out partying and that’s hard for him. They are both playing hard to get.

‘Chelsy was out at Boujis last week and she came back to London this weekend. She’s been texting a boy she likes and sending messages like “I’m on the prowl”.

‘Harry knows she gets a lot of male attention and it rather annoys him. Chelsy stands out in the crowd and there are a couple of chaps up at Leeds that have their eye on her.’ Friends say Chelsy split from the Prince amid rumours that he had been unfaithful to her.

They had a major argument after Chelsy questioned Harry’s fidelity when she returned from a New Year break to Mozambique, sources say. ‘There were rumours going round and they had an almighty row which ended with Chelsy saying she couldn’t trust him,’ said a friend.

‘They are having a cooling-off time but may get back together. They have been texting each other all week.’

Chelsy plans to stay in the UK to take up a job offer at law firm Allen & Overy when she completes her degree this summer.

‘She had been undecided following the break-up but she’s adamant she’s going to qualify as a solicitor in London,’ the source added.

Chelsy’s father, Charles Davy, is looking for a flat for his daughter in South-West London.

Clarence House said: ‘We never comment on the Prince’s private life.’

Chelsy Davy set to train as a solicitor later this year after completing degree

Prince Harry's ex-girlfriend Chelsy Davy has accepted a post at a law firm whose co-founder advised Edward VIII during his abdication.

Miss Davy, 23, will join Allen and Overy later this year after completing a postgraduate law course at Leeds University.

George Allen set up the firm with Thomas Overy in 1930 and six years later cemented the reputation of his company by acting as the king's solicitor during the abdication crisis.

Edward turned to Mr Allen - whom he reportedly nicknamed Poker Face - during the dramatic period which led to the monarch giving up his throne to marry American divorcee Wallis Simpson.

Miss Davy will complete her course in the spring before heading to London to spend the next two years working as a trainee solicitor with the law firm, reported Hello! magazine.

The 23-year-old reportedly ended her relationship with Harry, 24, after the couple returned from a holiday on the island of Mauritius a few weeks ago.

The split has been described as amicable by royal sources and the pair are said to still be friends.

A spokeswoman for Allen and Overy confirmed the firm had made an offer to Miss Davy, which she had accepted.

Allen and Overy is a leading commercial law firm which has its headquarters in the City and offices in more than 18 countries.

Oh brother, Chelsy! The internet photographs that embarrass another potential Royal in-law

Time was when a potential Royal in-law would have behaved with a certain dignity and decorum.

But the modern breed of well-connected youngster has little time for such etiquette – as shown by this embarrassing picture of Chelsy Davy’s brother Shaun sharing a pair of underpants with his girlfriend.

It is just one of several images of Prince Harry’s possible future brother-in-law that have been posted on the same public website that recently showed James Middleton – the brother of Prince William’s girlfriend Kate – in similarly compromising positions.

Briefs Encounter: Chelsy Davy's brother Shaun and girlfriend Anna share a pair of pants

One picture shows Shaun smoking a rolled-up cigarette that looks suspiciously like a cannabis joint. But in a statement released through the Prince of Wales’s solicitors Harbottle & Lewis, Shaun ‘completely denies’ that the cigarette contains the illegal drug.

Another photograph shows Shaun with a knotted handkerchief on his head, as an unseen friend prepares to insert what looks like another couple of cigarettes up each of Shaun’s nostrils.

Shaun, 24, and his girlfriend Anna Barnard, a Bristol University graduate, are members of Prince Harry’s social circle.

A source told The Mail on Sunday: ‘Chelsy, Shaun and Anna have been on a number of trips together in the past two years.

‘They include visits to New York, Cuba, South Africa, Brazil and Mexico. They have had a lot of fun getting drunk and seeing the world.

‘Prince Harry has been on a few of the trips and Shaun tagged along on a boys’ safari in Botswana. Harry has been on trips that include late-night binges in which large amounts of alcohol were consumed.’

The publication of the images on theinternetforum.com will not help 23-year-old Harry’s attempts to nurture a more dutiful image. He has vowed to tame his party lifestyle and concentrate on his military career.

A source said: ‘Shaun happily posed for the pictures but he obviously doesn’t want to cause problems for his sister. The Princes and their girlfriends are told time and time again to be careful with what they do in public, and to be extra careful when being photographed to make sure there is nothing that can be potentially damaging.

‘Shaun is aware of this but he’s a party person, just like his sister, and doesn’t feel as if he has to watch every move he makes.’

But, inevitably, photographs of anyone linked to the Royals engaging in boisterous behaviour finds its way on to the internet.

The pictures of Kate Middleton’s brother James showed him dressed as a French maid, and last week we revealed how images of 22-year-old Chelsy at a chav fancy-dress party had also been posted on the web.

Harry, Chelsy and Eugenie go clubbing on a school night

The young royals stepped out to party at London nightspot Boujis last night, with Prince Harry holding on tight to girlfriend Chelsy Davy.

On a night when most youngsters are getting an early night ahead of a morning's work or studying, the dressed-down pair teamed up with Princess Eugenie at one of their favourite haunts.

But Harry and Chelsy didn't look as if they'd enjoyed themselves, as they emerged from the club looking rather glum-faced.

Take my hand: A serious-looking Prince Harry clasps Chelsy 's hand to guide her to their waiting car

A serious-looking Harry, 23, was seen leaving the west London nightspot with a protective hand clasping 22-year-old Chelsy, as they left the London club.

The red-faced royal was dressed casually in faded jeans and blazer, while Chelsy showed off her legs in a flirty floral print frock.

It was a rare sighting of the pair together, as Prince Harry, 23, was only joined by law student Chelsy in London last week after he spent two weeks on safari in Botswana.

He is staying at Clarence House in the apartment he shares there with his brother Prince William while he waits to resume duties at Blues and Royals HQ in Windsor.

Chelsy has clearly got the royal seal of approval, as she received her first invitation to a formal event at Buckingham Palace after she was invited, along with Kate Middleton, to Prince Charles 60th birthday celebrations.

It is expected that a number of dignitaries, including the Prime Minister, will also attend the birthday celebration on November 13th.

Meanwhile Harry's cousin Princess Eugenie, 18, was seen arriving alone in a hippy-inspired ensemble looking much more cheery.

And it looks as if she had a better time, as the young royal didn't leave until after 3am on what was her second night out this week.

She appears to still be celebrating becoming the brainiest member of the Royal Family last month by scoring her top grades in art and English literature as well as a B in history of art - just pipping Bea, who despite battling dyslexia, managed an A and two Bs last year.

The Princess' proud parents said in a joint statement: 'We are delighted by Eugenie's achievements. She has worked extremely hard towards these justifiably fantastic results.'

Eugenie, who studied at Marlborough College, the £23,000-a-year boarding school in Wiltshire, plans to take a gap year like her elder sister before going to university.

The fashion-mad teenager could even become the first member of the Royal Family to take an art foundation course.

Chelsy in Chelsea: Harry's girl back in London for one mother of a shopping trip

Chelsy Davy is back in London after a romantic break in South Africa with Prince Harry - and filling her days as any potential royal bride should.

The tanned 22-year-old student spent yesterday browsing round the shops in the King's Road, Kate Middleton's favourite haunt.

Prince William's girlfriend has been credited with smartening up Chelsy's style, encouraging her to opt for Sloane chic over skimpy outfits.

Retail therapy: Chelsy Davy and mother Beverley at Clarence House during their trip down the King's Road

Zimbabwe-born Chelsy is increasingly being welcomed into the heart of the royal family. After shopping with her mother, Beverley, they dropped into Clarence House for a cup of tea.

It is understood Harry, 23, is using the apartment he shares there with his brother William as a base before he returns to Army training.

Chelsy's comfortable status with the royal family after four years dating Harry was underlined yesterday when it emerged she is on the guest list for

Prince Charles's 60th birthday celebrations at Buckingham Palace in November.

Ms Middleton is also expected to attend.

It remains to be seen whether the celebrations will be scaled down in the light of the Queen's fall in the rankings of the world's richest royals.

Despite an estimated fortune of £349 million, the Queen has dropped one place to 12th in the annual list compiled by US magazine Forbes.

In a surprise change at the top, the King of Thailand has replaced the Sultan of Brunei as the world's wealthiest ruler.

King Bhumibol Adulyade of Thailand has holdings in the Siam Cement company, owns a stake in a bank and has 3,000 acres of prime Bangkok real estate among his assets.

Forbes's estimate of the Queen's wealth includes jewellery, fine art, a stamp collection gathered by her grandfather George V and royal land and property in England and Scotland.

The actual worth of the Queen's private property - including Sandringham and Balmoral - has never been disclosed.

A Buckingham Palace spokesman said: "The Queen's personal wealth has always been vastly exaggerated."

No Autumn wedding for the Cinderella of the Royals

Prince Harry and Chelsy Davy's joy at being reunited after his tour of duty in Afghanistan has been soured, I can reveal, by a pointed snub by other members of the Royal Family.

In a move that has upset the Prince and his 22-year-old Zimbabwean girlfriend, Chelsy has not been invited to the wedding of Princess Anne's only son Peter Phillips to Autumn Kelly in May.

Snub: Chelsy Davy has not been invited to the wedding of Princess Anne's only son Peter Phillips

Chelsy has been left off the guest list even though Prince William's girlfriend Kate Middleton has already received her invitation to the nuptials, which will take place at St George's Chapel in Windsor.

Friends say everything between Harry and Chelsy is "peachy" again after their brief split in December, with the Prince planning to join his girlfriend imminently at her parents' apartment in Cape Town, where she is staying for the Easter holidays.

But while the couple are blissfully happy to be back together again, it seems not everyone in the Royal Family shares their joy.

Crocodile Cruise: Harry's first priority when he returned from Afghanistan was to whisk Chelsy away for an adventure holiday in Botswana

Chelsy has been left off the list for the wedding and all the invitations have gone out now," confirms my source.

"Peter and his fiancee Autumn sent invites out a few weeks ago for what is going to be a very small and private occasion.

"The explanation being offered is that, at the time, Harry and Chelsy were going through a wobble. But Chelsy sees it as a direct snub and is pretty miffed at not having been invited, especially as Kate plans to go."

It is the latest snub to Chelsy, who was also not invited to join the Royal Family on their Easter skiing trip to Klosters.

As I revealed two weeks ago, Kate and William were invited on the trip by Prince Charles, and even Kate's sister Pippa has joined the Royal party.

"Chelsy feels like she is often left out of family engagements," the source adds. "She was not invited to ski, which doesn't bother her because she'd rather go home to Cape Town, but she would like to have been invited to Peter's wedding. She's becoming the Royals' Cinderella."
