The German model Claudia Schiffer, 39, announced Friday she is pregnant with her third child.
"We rejoice with this very good news and are eager to expand our family," said the model who married British film producer Matthew Vaughn in a statement published in Hamburg (northern Germany).
The baby was due in May.
Claudia Schiffer has been married for eight years with Matthew Vaughn, who has a child of 6 years, Casper, and a girl of five, Clementine. The family lives in England, where he has a house in London and one in Suffolk County (southeast).
Claudia Schiffer will complete 40 years on August 25.

The mother-of-two stars in a photographic collection, boldly titled Sex, by renowned fashion snapper Mario Testino, who is famous for shooting the world's most high profile stars, including Princess Diana and Madonna.
Claudia has steadily emerged back on the modelling scene after taking time away to raise her son Caspar, who was born in 2003, and daughter Clementine, who she welcomed a year later.
Late last year she teamed up for a shoot with Chanel style maestro Karl Lagerfeld, who plucked her from obscurity to be the face of brand more than 20 years ago.
The German born star famously declared last year that the new generation of models can no longer achieve the kind of global celebrity she, Naomi Campbell and Cindy Crawford enjoyed in the 1990s.
She said at the time: "In order to become a supermodel one must be on all the covers all over the world at the same time so that people can recognise the girls.
"That is, for now, not possible, not least because the advertising industry is very much taken nowadays by popstars and actresses. Supermodels like we once were don't exist any more."
